Coloured Vinyl
We offer any number of different colours for Vinyl Record Pressing. Coloured Vinyl adds an additional cost of 30% to the record component cost, owing to the additional cost of coloured vinyl and the “washup” charge associated with cleaning and purging our PVC extruder. Recycled vinyl incurs no additional charge to standard black but is only available in colours we have recently recycled. Please discuss with our Sales Team recycled vinyl options.
Our Colour range will change depending on what our PVC compounders can offer, and what we can hold in stock. Our PVC (vinyl) is all compounded and manufactured locally and we generally try to introduce new colours when we place a bulk order every couple of months. Stocks of coloured PVC can be limited so please contact Zenith prior to ordering to confirm availability and quantity
Presently (as of October 2022) we can offer the following coloured vinyl.
- Clear / Natural (Translucent)
- White (Opaque)
- Flouro Green (Translucent)
- Hot Pink (Translucent)
- Blue (Translucent)
- Orange (Translucent)
- Yellow (translucent)

- Yellow (flouro)
- Red (Translucent)
- Purple (Translucent)
- Emerald Green (Translucent)
- Light Blue (opaque)
- Aquamarine / Teal (Translucent)
- Recycled / Random Colours
We can also do splatters which cost an additional $2.25 for 7″ records and $2.85 for 12″ records. Please enquire with our Sales and Support staff to discuss options and possibilities. Please note that with splatter records, we cannot guarantee matching mock ups or samples pictured. Our aim is to ensure we achieve good sounding records, however the splatter process can introduce additional noise and must be taken into account when you order.
PLEASE NOTE: In order for us to accommodate all varied requests for coloured vinyl records, splatters, swirls and other marvellous creations, we are constantly changing colours in our PVC extruders and, from time to time, there can be slight traces of different material showing through. Our extruder clean up process involves using a clear recyclable material to remove the previous coloured PVC from the extruder barrel. It is not uncommon, with coloured vinyl records, on close inspection to occasionally detect some spots or slight streaks of different colours.
This in no way affects playability or the quality of the finished record, rather an example of uniqueness and the beauty of diversity in our records
